JACKSON, Tenn.- Union University women's basketball continued their win streak against the Lady Eagles of Williams Baptist. Following the night, Union's record rises to 4-2 and WBU falls to 3-2.
Olivia Lee opened the night with a three assisted by
Morgan Escobedo. Union would keep their lead the entire night.
With a final score of 100-65, four players reached double digits.
Kynidi Mason Striverson (14),
Nora Saffell (13), Escobedo (12), and Â
Abigail Bryan (20) topped Union's roster in points. Bryan led the blitz in points, collecting 20 off the bench.
Union hit 18 threes with the majority coming from Bryan (6-10) and Mason Striverson (4-12).
Lee and Aryna Roberts showed off impressive ball movement, both collecting 7 assists apiece.
Roberts and Saffell also showed great defensive abilities, collecting 7 rebounds each.
Union shot 39 percent from the field and 35 percent from the arc (18-51). On the free throw line, they went 14 for 18.
Union will return to the Fred DeLay Gymnasium on Monday (11/24) for another non conference matchup against Ashland. Fans can enjoy free admission thanks to the generosity of FirstBank.
