JACKSON, Tenn. - On Oct. 16, the first National Collegiate Golf Rankings were released by Scoreboard powered by Clippd. The Union University men's golf team was ranked ninth regionally and 63rd nationally.

The Bulldogs have competed in three tournaments so far this season with their best finish being second place in the Full Moon BBQ Invitational hosted by the University of Montevallo on Sep. 9 and 10. Three Union golfers finished in the top six in the tournament with Gray Campbell in third, Kip Patterson in fourth, and Trace Robinson in sixth.

Union has won one GSC weekly award this season courtesy of Matthew Westmoreland, who achieved the Freshman of the Week honor for the week of Oct. 10 after finishing tied for fifth in his collegiate debut at NSU's Shark Invitational.

Up next, the Bulldogs travel to Miami Shores, Fla., for the Milton Makeup, which will be played on Oct. 21 and 22 at the Miami Shores Country Club.
