Before Union
Westmoreland prepped at Millington Central High School in Millington, Tenn., where he golfed for four years and played baseball for one year. His team was District Champions for his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. He received Athlete of the Month once as a sophomore and junior and twice as a senior. He was named All-Metro Pre-Season in 2022 and 2023 by commercial appeal and was named All-State Tennessee Golf Class A as a junior by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. Westmoreland played in the Tennessee High School State Tournament all four years of high school. He placed seventh his sophomore year and fifth his junior year. He also set the Millington Central High School record for the lowest scoring average in a season with the average of 36.8 (includes all 9 hole and 18 holes scores).

Off the course, Westmoreland was part of the Honors Society and Honor Roll. His GPA was a 4.0. He was also initiated into the Millington Central High School Hall of Fame in the spring of his senior year.

His brother Andrew also golfs for Union.
