JACKSON, Tenn.—On Sep. 2
nd, the Union University women's soccer team lost their first game of the season 3-0 to Florida Tech.
The match was 0-0 until the 25
th minute when Marem Ndiongue of Florida Tech scored on a penalty kick. Savannah Oxley kicked a goal in the 39
th minute to make the score 2-0. She was assisted by Sara Batchadji. In the 62
nd minute, Ndiongue added her second goal of the night with an assist by Oxley.
The Panthers outshot the Lady Bulldogs 12-4, including 5-3 in shots on goal. Florida Tech also led in corner kicks 5-0, while Union led in fouls 11-6.

Claire Maxon,
Rebekah Jackson, and
Madison Woolridge each had a shot for Union. The shots by Gama, Maxon, and Woolridge were on goal.
Rylee Iorio played all 90 minutes in goal, recording two saves.
Up next for the Lady Bulldogs is a road matchup on Sep. 7 at 4:00 p.m. against Ouachita Baptist University.
