ALBERTVILLE, Ala. - The Union University softball posted a 14-7 win over Kentucky Wesleyan University on the final day of the Charger Chillout, hosted by the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Union improved to 3-6 on the season.Â
The win for Union marked the third straight.Â
Macey Neal and
Zoey Neal combined for eight hits, eight RBI, three home runs, and five runs scored in the game. Macey was 5-for-5 in the game with four RBI and four runs. She had two home runs and a double. Zoey was 3-for-5 with four RBI, a run, a home run, and a double. This marked the second straight game for the Neal sisters to homer in the same game.Â
In addition to the sister duo leading the way, seven other Lady Bulldogs players got in on the hit parade.

Fallon Groves each record two hits apiece. White recorded a triple, while Groves and
Hailey Sipes each had a double. Groves added two RBI.Â
Kira Finkley started the game for Union, tossing 3.1 innings with seven hits, seven runs, and two strikeouts.
Riley Vaughn tossed the final 3.2 innings in relief, earning the win. She gave up just two hits, no runs, with six strikeouts.Â
Up next for Union will be a home non-conference doubleheader Wednesday, February 15 at noon. The games have been moved off campus to the University School of Jackson's field.Â
