JACKSON, Tenn. – Union's record improves to 5-5-1 overall (4-3 GSC) while the Chargers' record falls to 5-4-2 (3-3-2 GSC).
Union came into today's match sitting in eighth place in the conference ranks. Union has to place in the top eight in conference to make an appearance in the conference tournament. Following Sunday's 1-0 victory versus Chargers, the Lady Bulldogs move to seventh in the conference standings.
Both offenses were relentless on the attack throughout the entirety of the match. UAH outpaced the Lady Bulldogs in total shots (20), but the Lady Bulldogs put more shots on goal (13). Union's
Rylee Iorio had a stellar performance in goal, locking down any Charger scoring opportunities. Iorio totaled 11 saves in today's matchup.
On the offensive side of the ball
Sophie Walsh found pay dirt with her second goal of the year early in the 3'.
Ines Gama picked up her second assist of the season on the goal.
