Union earns shutout in road matchup versus Spring Hill

JACKSON, Tenn. – Union wins on the road in Mobile, Alabama to improve to 6-5-1 overall (5-3 GSC). Spring Hill's record falls to 5-6-2 overall (2-4-1 GSC).
 
Following the win, the Lady Bulldogs hold the fourth spot in the GSC standings. Spring Hill sits at tenth following their loss.
 
Both teams totaled 11 shots, yet Union had the upper hand on shots on goal with 7 compared to the Lady Badger's 3. Coming fresh off of securing GSC Defender of the Week, Rylee Iorio adds 3 saves and a shutout to her recent success.
 
In the 26' Bethany Guinness scored her first goal of the season (unassisted). Sophie Walsh continued her hot scoring streak, finding net again for her third goal of the season in the 70' (unassisted). Ines Gama, Tessa Erzen, Lucia Revuelto, and Claire Maxon all recorded a shot on goal in the win.
 
Up next for the Lady Bulldogs is a road matchup versus the current number one team in the GSC, the University of West Florida (#22). This matchup will take place on Sunday, October 15th.
