HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Union University women's soccer lost 1-0 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Friday night. Union dropped to 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the Gulf South Conference. Alabama Huntsville improved to 3-5-2 on the season and 2-3-1 in league play.Â
The narrow losses continue for the Lady Bulldogs. Of their seven losses on the season, six have come by just one goal, including all five GSC losses.Â
UAH scored the match's lone goal in the 37th minute on a penalty kick.Â
The match was near even all the way through. UAH edged Union 14-13 in shots overall with the first half being even at seven shots each. Corner kicks were 7-4 in favor of Union, while Union led 12-10 in fouls.Â
Joslyn Greene led Union with four shots.
Rylee Iorio played all 90 minutes in goal, recording six saves.Â
Up next for Union will be a 1 p.m. match October 3 at West Alabama.Â
