JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University baseball dropped the last game of the series to the University of West Georgia Saturday afternoon. The final score after nine innings was West Georgia 10, Union 7. The Bulldogs moved to 7-9 overall on the season, and 3-5 in the Gulf South Conference. West Georgia improved to 11-7 on the season, and 4-5 in league play.
In the third inning West Georgia scored first, scoring one run. Union answered back in the fifth taking the lead with a score of 3-2 after the fifth. West Georgia took back the lead in the sixth and held onto the lead until Union took it back in the seventh inning. The Wolves of West Georgia scored a pair of runs in both the eighth and ninth inning, which would be enough for the win.
Britt Netterville and
Blake Barrett led Union with two hits each.
Josh Bozoian led the team in RBI's with two, both of them coming from a two-run home run in the fifth inning.
AJ Zeak started on the mound for Union.

Up next for Union is a non-conference mid-week contest against Harding University. This game is set to take place Tuesday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. right here at Fesmire Field.
