CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Union University men's soccer team lost 2-0 in a conference matchup on the road against Delta State Friday night. With the loss, Union falls to 4-9-1 overall on the season and 1-7-1 in the Gulf South Conference. DSU improves to 3-5-4 overall and 2-3-2 in league play.
Ostian Bowen led the team in shots with three,
Alpay Altuntas and
Stan De Vries both added one. Union was outshot 12-5 and 9-0 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were in the Bulldog's favor 2-1 and DSU led in fouls 18-16.
Botond Nemeth logged 90:00 minutes in goal and recorded seven saves.
Up next for Union is another conference match on the road as they take on Mississippi College. This match is set to take place Sunday, October 16 at 3:30 p.m.
