MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Union University women's basketball team posted an 97-79 victory at Christian Brothers University Friday night. Union improved to 15-4 overall and in Gulf South Conference play. Christian Brothers dropped to 4-9 on the season and in league play.

Union jumped out to an early 11-0 lead in the first quarter. The Lady Bucs battled back and went on an 18-5 run to take the 18-16 lead. A three-pointer from
Leah Cauble gave Union the lead for good with 3:11 remaining in the first quarter. Union led 50-39 at the half
The Lady Bucs came out strong in the third quarter, outscoring Union 22-20 and cutting the lead to just nine points. Union's explosive fourth quarter proved to be too much for Christian Brothers. Union outscored Christian Brothers 27-18 and set its largest margin of the game at 18 points to seal the 97-79 win.Â
Union was led by
Shanique Lucas with a career-high 32 points and 9 rebounds.
Jaelencia Williams added 24 points with six rebounds.
Jordan Little had 18 points.
Sadie Knee dished out 10 assists. Union shot 58 percent from the field, 56 percent (10-18) from 3-point range, and 68 percent (15-22) from the free-throw line.Â

Union won the turnover battle, committing 16 to the 20 miscues from the Lady Bucs. Both teams grabbed 29 rebounds in the game.Â

Christian Brothers was led by Brynne Lytle with 29 points and six rebounds. Darcy Doran added 15 points and six rebounds. Emily Jones had 14 points and Julia Nicholson had 10 points. The Lady Bucs shot 46 percent from the field, 42 percent (10-24) from long range, and 76 percent (19-25) from the free-throw line.Â
