For the fourth time in the past five matches, Union took the early 1-0 lead. Union scored in the 17th minute of play when Annika Weidner hit the lower right corner of the goal, assisted by Hannah Patterson. That scored stood through the first half.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Alabama Huntsville tied on a penalty kick when Union was called for a handball in the box. Brynn Colvin went high, just under the crossbar for the goal. Regulation ended in a 1-1 tie.

UAH out shot Union 22-10 in regulation, including 13-4 in shots on goal. After an even first half with six shots each, UAH controlled the second half 16-4 in shots.

In the first overtime, Union had two early scoring chances that were stopped by UAH. Then in the sixth minute of play, Colvin took a loose ball and drove down and found the back of the net for the golden goal. It was her second goal of the night.

Shots finished 23-12 in favor of UAH with a 14-5 advantage on goal.

Union was led by Weidner with three shots, while Taylor Knight, Grace Rodriguez, and Victoria Seymour each added two shots. Bryson Lee had 12 saves in her 95 minutes of work.
