Montevallo takes last game of series over Union softball

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Union University softball team was defeated by University of Montevallo in the last game of the series on Sunday afternoon.. Union dropped to 17-12 overall and 6-6 in Gulf South Conference play. Montevallo improved to 15-15 overall and 6-9 in conference play. 

In the second inning, the Falcons scored five runs. In the third inning, Montevallo added their last three runs. The final score was 8-0. 

Gabby Morris took the loss for Union, tossing 1.1 innings and giving up four hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Parker Davis tossed for 3.2 innings giving up three hits with three strikeouts and one walk. 

Harley Bartholomew led Union with two hits. 

Up next for Union is a double-header at home against Trevecca Nazarene University on Wednesday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m.
