LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The Union University men's soccer team lost 4-0 at West Alabama Sunday afternoon. Union dropped to 6-7 overall and 4-6 in the Gulf South Conference. West Alabama improved to 4-7-2 on the season and 2-4-2 in league play.
UWA scored the first and game-winning goal in the 20th minute of play. The score remained 1-0 heading into halftime. Union had the edge in shots 4-1 on the half.
The Tigers added three second-half goals in the 66th, 72nd, and 87th minutes. The Bulldogs were unable to get a shot off in the second half.
Union was outshot 6-4 in the game. Shots on goal ended even with four each.
William Valencia led Union with three shots, all of which were on goal.
AJ Morgado added one shot on goal.
Casper Nyberg played all 90 minutes in goal for Union.
Up next for Union is a non-conference road match at Oakland City University Saturday, November 2 at 2 p.m.
