JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University men's soccer team fell to Mississippi College 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs are now 1-6-3 overall and 1-4-2 in the Gulf South Conference. MC improved to 6-4 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.
The first half was led by Union's AJ Morgado as he headed in the first goal of the game at the 37th minute with an assist by Gavin Scott.
The second half remained scoreless until the 64th minute when Mississippi College scored their first goal, four minutes later they were able to put another ball in the back of the net. Their final goal came at the 86th minute.
Union was led by Scott and Felipe Firmino with two shots each. Euan Morton played all 90 minutes in the neat and recorded four saves.
Mississippi College out shot Union 18-6.
