WHAT HAPPENED
- The Bisons got on the board first in the contest pushing across three runs in the top of the second with back-to-back RBI singles.
- Union rallied back in the bottom half of the inning with three runs of their own with Zach Phillips and Hayden Lewis both scoring on wild pitches followed by Ryne Roper scoring on a groundout to the right side that evened the score 3-3 after two innings of action.
- Harding scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, both on RBI singles, that gave the visiting team the 5-3 advantage.
- The Bulldogs struggled to score for the remainder of the game leaving nine runners on base and hitting into four double plays to fall by the final score of 5-3.
POSTGAME STATS
- Tommy Weiler made his third start of the year for the Bulldogs giving up five runs on nine hits for his first loss of the season. Landon Walker finished the game in relief throwing the final five innings of ball while facing the minimum, only giving up a walk that was later erased on a double play in the ninth inning.
- Zach Phillips led the Bulldogs going 3-for-4 with a run scored. Nolen Milton and Austin Orr each added two hits on the afternoon with Milton hitting a double for the Bulldog's only extra base hit of game.
