Mobile, Ala.- The Union University women's soccer team earned their first win of the 2016 season with 1-0 victory at Spring Hill Sunday afternoon. Union improves to 1-3-1 on the season and 1-1 in Gulf South Conference action, while Spring Hill moves to 0-5-1 this season.
The first half saw no goals from either team, however, Union out shot the Badgers 11-1 in the half.
Shelby High scored the lone goal of the match scoring in the 64th minute and was assisted by
Georgia Hopkins. The goal from High was her first on the season as was Hopkins assist.
Union stays on the road for the next two matches at Mississippi College on Friday, September 23rd, and at Delta State on Sunday, September 25th. The Lady Bulldogs returns home for Family Weekend on Friday, September 30th, to take on Shorter.
