MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Union University Lady Bulldog basketball team fell 63-53 against the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Saturday. Union is currently ranked No. 22 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches' Poll.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Christian Brothers opened up the scoring with a three pointer to get the lead, 3-0, in the first quarter. Union broke out with a 13-0 run to give the Lady Bulldogs a strong lead 13-3. By the end of the first quarter, the Union led the Lady Bucs 17-10.
- The Lady Bulldogs continued to hold their lead throughout the second quarter. CBU got within two points of Union, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to extend their lead by seven points going into the half, 34-27.
- In the third quarter, Union continued to hold a slight lead, 45-40, over Christian Brothers; although, CBU was able to outscore the Lady Bulldogs 13-10 in the quarter.
- The Lady Bucs started the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run to give Christian Brothers their first lead since the first quarter, 46-45. Play was back and forth the rest of the quarter, but CBU was able to get the upset win, 63-53.

- Union was led by Jada Perkins with 18 points followed by Jada Smith with 11 points. Fredi Nielsen earned the double-double, scoring 10 points with 11 boards.
- Samantha Reeves led Christian Brothers with 23 points and eight rebounds. Courtney Banks helped the Lady Bucs with 15 points.
UP NEXT
Union will host the University of West Florida Thursday, December 15 at 6 p.m., and then Valdosta State University Saturday, December 17 at 2 p.m. for the final two games before the Christmas holidays.
