JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University men's basketball team fell in their first Gulf South Conference game of the season to Christian Brothers University 91-60. The Bulldogs trailed 43-30 at the half.

WHAT HAPPENED
	- Christian Brothers started the game with an 8-0 lead to shutout the Bulldogs in the first five minutes of the first half. Union rallied back after trailing 10-2 with a six point run to get within two points of the Bucs, 10-8. 
 
	- CBU went on another run, scoring eight straight points, to extend their lead to 23-14. Union worked back to trail by just three points, 31-28, thanks to three straight 3-pointers from Bennett Fuzak, Jarad Scott, and Tray Boyd. 
 
	- At the end of the first half Christian Brothers led the Bulldogs 43-30. The Bucs ended the half with their third eight point run of the game. Union shot just 37 percent (11-for-30) and 40 percent (6-for-15) from 3-point range. Fuzak led the Bulldogs with 10 points and four boards. The Bucs were led by Brad Miller with 12 points.
 
	- The Bucs continued their hot shooting, starting the second half scoring eight straight points to expand their run to 16-0. Christian Brothers continued to dominate Union in the second half to set the final 91-60.
 
 
STAT OF THE GAME
Christian Brothers had a 40 point lead with just over five minutes left to play in regulation. 
TEAM STATS
	- Union shot 37 percent (19-for-52) from the field, 38 percent (9-for-24) from 3-point range, and 72 percent (13-for-18) from the free throw line.
 
	- Christian Brothers outshot Union in every category shooting 60 percent (55-for-59) from the field, 55 percent (16-for-29) from behind the arc, and 57 percent (5-for-9) from the foul line.
 
PLAYER STATS
	- Union was led by Bennett Fuzak with 18 points ad eight rebounds followed by Tray Boyd with 12 points and seven boards.
 
	- Brad Miller led Christian Brothers with 23 points while four other CBU players were also in double digits in points.

Union will host the Auburn University-Montgomery in their final non-conference game of the season Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m.
