Women's soccer falls at Harding

SEARCY, Ark.- The Union University (0-5) still looking for their first win after being shutout for a third time this season, this time at the hands of Harding (3-2), by a 4-0 score.
 
Harding got to work early in the first half with a goal only six minutes into the game with a goal from Bethany Sutherland. Then, in the 30th minute, the Lady Bison doubled their lead with a goal off the foot of Morgan Springborn for a 2-0 lead that held through the rest of the half.
 
Union did not fair much better in the second half either. Harding put two more goals on the board, first in the 78th minute when Springborn scored for the second time in the match, then in the 82nd minute with Emma Chilton scored to set the final at 4-0.
 
The Lady Bulldogs had 11 shots on the evening with Honeye Heydari leading the team with five, while Kayleigh Patterson had two shots on the goal.
 
The schedule doesn't get any easier for Union as they return home to take on Division I Southeast Missouri State on Sunday, September 20th, at 4:00 p.m. Union will open up Gulf South Conference play on Friday, September 25th, when they host West Florida at 5:00 p.m.
