JACKSON, Tenn.-The Union University (2-6-1, 2-2-1 GSC) women's soccer team tied with Mississippi College (7-1-3, 3-1-2 GSC) in a rainy match Friday night 0-0.
Union only managed to get one shot off in the first half while the Choctaws managed to get off four. However, Union was drawn offsides eight times in the half.
The second half was met with rain and the Lady Bulldogs found more of a groove getting off eight shots, but was not able to get any to fall forcing overtime periods. Neither team would be able to score in overtime either forcing the match to a draw.
Honeye Heydari lead Union in shots with five bringing her season total to 38.
Union plays Delta State to continue Gulf South Conference play on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and then travel to West Georgia Thursday to play the Wolves at 5:00 p.m.
