Heydari's hat trick boosts Union in 4-0 victory

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Union University (3-8-1, 3-2-1 GSC) got a big 4-0 win over Delta State (3-8-1, 3-5-1 GSC) behind Honeye Heydari's hat trick.
Heydari scored her first goal of the match in the 52nd minute of the match when she took the pass from freshman Hannah Hillburn into the box and put it into lower left corner. Her second goal of the game in the 84th minute on an  breakaway goal with Hillburn on the assist and then put her final goal of the day in only two minutes later with Hillburn earning her second assist of the afternoon.
Hillburn also had an exceptional performance on the day and in addition to her three assists, had Union's first goal of the match. In the fifth minute, she received a pass from Hannah Miller and got the shot past the goalie for her first goal of her career.
Union and Delta State both had 14 shots on the afternoon, but the Lady Statesmen were not able to get on the board in the match. 
The Lady Bulldogs travel to West Georgia on Thursday to continue their conference campaign before returning home for a Saturday game when they host Delta State at 2:00 p.m.
