LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The Union University men's soccer team fell 1-0 at the University of West Alabama Friday night. Union fell to 4-5 on the season and 2-1 in the Gulf South Conference. West Alabama improved to 4-4-1 overall and 3-0 in league play.
Union fell from the ranks of the unbeaten in GSC play and now sit one game behind league leaders, West Alabama (3-0) and Alabama Huntsville (3-0). Union (2-1) will play at Alabama Huntsville Sunday afternoon.
The game's only goal was scored midway through the first half with West Alabama's Liam Ireland found the back of the net.
West Alabama outshot Union 7-5 in the first half and 9-6 in the match.
Andre Silva led Union with four shots.
