JACKSON, Tenn.- The Union University women's soccer team dropped their final game of the 2014 season to Christian Brothers University, 1-0. Union finished up the season 1-11 in Gulf South Conference play and 3-13 overall. Christian Brothers improved to 8-4 in conference and 13-4 overall.
Christian Brothers were able to take an early lead in only the seventh minute of play when Katelyn Graham was able to get wide open in the box and to ultimately put the ball into the back of the net. Carmen Manes earned the assist.
Christian Brothers did not let up in the second half coming out hot to tack on their second goal of the match less than a minute into play thanks to Lauren Magdefrau. Magdefrau was able to put the ball into the side of the net after coming into the box from the far corner of the field. Camilla Rodrigues earned the assist
The Bucs put the final nail in the coffin in the 86
th minute when Alex Bickenbach was able to beat the defender to easily put in the third goal of the game for Christian Brothers. Manes earned her second assist of the night.
Union managed just two shots, one each from Kaleigh Patterson and

Rainy Rasmussen earned five saves in the start in her final game with Union.
Union has been plagued by injury all season losing 8 of 11 starters, including their eighth starter to injury in this match. However, Union continued to battle all season. Of their 16 matches on the season, 12 were decided by two goals or less, including seven by one goal or less.
