MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Union University men's soccer team earned a 2-1 double overtime win at Christian Brothers University. Union improved to 7-3-4 on the season and 6-2-3 in the Gulf South Conference. Christian Brothers dropped to 8-7-1 overall and 6-4-1 in league play.
Union's
Kemal Gogic recorded the game-winner in the 103
rd minute of play when he headed a shot through the hands of the Christian Brothers keeper. Pedro Rodrigues earned the assist on the golden goal.

Chip Crockarell. Union maintained the 1-0 lead until the 80
th minute when CBU's Michael Hollier scored with assists from Andrew Ballard and Adamandios Toras.
Christian Brothers dominated the shots total for the match 24-6. It was 8-4 in the first half and 13-1 in favor of Christian Brothers in the second half. Union scored on their only shot attempt in the second half. The overtime periods was 3-1 in favor of the home Bucs with Union scoring on their only shot in overtime.
Rainer Pires recorded six saves in the match for Union, allowing just the one goal. Jaime Garcia recorded two saves and allowed two goals for Christian Brothers in net.
Gogic and
Guilherme Reis led Union with two shots each.
Up next for Union will be a home conference match Friday, October 26 at 5:00 p.m. versus Delta State (Miss.) University.
