Union University's Kelly Robey was named the Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 1, 2015. This is Robey's first GSC weekly award this season and first for Union softball.
 
Robey, a 5-foot-10 senior from New Madrid, Mo., went 2-1 on the week. She started two games and worked in relief for one. She tossed 16 total innings and recorded 22 strikeouts. In her 16 innings of work, she only allowed one earned run. She gave up just one hit and no runs with six strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work in a 10-2 win at Cumberland. She allowed one unearned run with eight strikeouts in 4.1 innings of relief work in a 4-3 loss at Cumberland. She closed out the week with a complete game 2-1 win over conference foe Shorter allowing one run on five hits with eight strikeouts.
