Before Union
Guimaraes prepped at Colegio e Curso Pensi. He played soccer for the Duque de Caxiense FC from 2011-13, the Bangu AC in 2014 and for 2SV Academy in 2015. He helped lead his team to the Campeonato Carioca Serie B Title. He graduated top 16-percent of his class in high school.
