Union University Athletics

Mallory Baker is an exercise science major and is a senior for the Union volleyball team. She plans to attend graduate school for occupational therapy.

What type of pets do you have? 
We just adopted a puppy and we named him Larkin!

What word describes you best?

What drives you every day? 
Definitely setting goals. Once I set a goal for myself I become focused on reaching it.

What is your favorite food? 
Pasta (cheese ravioli)

What is your Athletic goal this year? 
...to have a winning season while upholding our team verse 1 Corinthians 9:25

Where do you like to vacation?
Alaska! I've been going with my best friend every summer since I was in seventh grade.

Who do you admire? 
My mom! She went through a bone marrow transplant last January and has been so courageous through it all. Instead of blaming God, she took the opportunity to strengthen her relationship with the Lord. Seeing my mom take her faith more seriously has been so exciting and encouraging!

How do you want to be remembered? 
As a follower of Christ that put others before herself.

You have the opportunity to speak at your high school, what one thing do you say?
I went to a public high school where there were very few Christians living out their faith. I wish I could have been more of a light in high school using my relationships as avenues to talk about Jesus. If I could go back I would definitely talk about what a relationship with Jesus Christ looks like and explain that He wants to have a relationship with all of them.
