Union University's Diego Santos earned two awards for his play last week on the soccer field. Santos was named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week. In addition, Santos earned the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TWSA) Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Santos, a 5-foot-11 senior midfielder from Brazil, netted three goals with one assist in a pair of Union victories to start the season. He posted a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win at Cumberland, putting the Bulldogs ahead for good with an unassisted score in the 30th minute. He helped on a Caleb Mills goal in the 69th minute as well. In a 4-1 victory at Trevecca Nazarene, Santos scored in the seventh minute on an assist from Mills and Santos put the match away with an unassisted goal in the 61st minute.
