Emerson Jones joined the Union University men's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in June 2024. Jones is in his first season with the Bulldogs.
Jones came to Union after spending five seasons on the bench with the Fort Valley State University men's basketball coaching staff. He spent four years as a student assistant coach and one year as a graduate assistant. As a member of NCAA Division II, Jones coached and helped develop a SIAC All-Conference players. He also worked in skill development, player development, film breakdown, and recruiting.
Jones earned his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Fort Valley State in 2022. He is a graduate of Westover (Georgia) High School where he played four years of basketball. He helped lead his high school team to two region titles and advanced to two Georgia State semifinal appearances.
