Before Union
Peterson prepped at Buckhorn High School. She also played volleyball for the Mt. Carmel Recreation Center for a year, three years for the Rocket City Volleyball Club, and three years for the North Alabama Spikers Association. Peterson was identified for the 2015 and 2015 USA Junior Nationals, was recognized for the 2016 Sophomore 79 Prep Volleyball "Athletes to Watch", earned the Impact Award in 2016 and was named class 7A all-tournament in 2016. Off the court, Peterson participated in the 2011 Duke University Tip event, earned five different Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards, member of the National Junior Honors Society, A/B Honor Roll, MU Alpha Theta Math Honors Society, delegate to Congress of Future Medical Leaders, National Academy of Future Physicians, and won the Medical Scientists Award of Excellence in 2017.

Born October 21...daughter of Jeff and Tabatha Peterson...majoring in pre-pharmacy as she works to become a pharmacist.
