Before Union
York prepped at McNairy Central High School where she played softball and volleyball. York helped lead her team to the 2018 sectional, regional, and district titles. In 2017, her team was the Tennessee State Runner-Up, sectional, regional, and district champions. York also played travel softball, winning the 2015 Road to Orlando World Series Title and the 2012 USSAA World Series Title. York earned numerous honors including Best Defensive Player Award, all-academic, and all-district in 2019, and all-state, all-district in 2017. In 2017, she also was named to the Colorado Sparkler Jr. All-Star Game and the Colorado Sparkler Jr. All-American Game. She had a career batting average of .376 with 95 hits and 80 RBI. She led the team as a freshman with a .429 average and 34 RBI. She led the team as a junior with 33 RBI and hit .368. Off the field, York had several honors, including National Honors Society President, highest average in Algebra II Honors, ranked third in senior class, highest ACT score in senior class, 4.0 GPA, Class of 2020 Hall of Fame, class treasure, student council senator, McNairy County Youth Leadership Member, and was the 2017 Football Homecoming Sweetheart.
