Biography

Before Union
Deakins prepped at South Gibson (Tenn.) High School where she played four years of varsity soccer. She was named all-region, Region Offensive MVP, and All-West Tennessee as a senior. Deakins added Best Offensive Player Award three times, Top Goal Award three times, and was all-district twice. She earned TSSAA Scholar-Athlete honors all four years of high school. She played club soccer for the Lady Flyers and in 2009, helped lead her team to a D2 state tournament runner-up finish. Off the field, Deakins was her class Valedictorian, lettered academically all four years, four-year honor roll, Beta Club president, HOSA president, HOSA secretary, D.A.R.E. role model, and was a Girls State delegate. She is the daughter of Andy and Sonya Deakins.
