Morgan Elzinga

Morgan Elzinga joined Union University in May of 2018 as the women's soccer assistant coach. 

Elzinga came to Union after having spent two seasons as the graduate assistant women's soccer coach at her Alma Mater Trinity International University in Chicago. She helped turn the team from a 6-12-1 record to a 14-7-1 record and a trip to the national tournament. She earned a Master of Arts in Leadership degree in 2018. 

She was also the head coach for the Christian Liberty Academy girls varsity soccer program in 2018. 

Elzinga was a four year soccer player at Trinity International where she graduated in 2015 with a degree in sports and wellness management. She was recognized for academics, graduating summa cum laude and was on the Dean's List for her entire college career. In her time as a college soccer player, she was twice named to the NAIA All-America honorable mentioned list and was a two-time NCCAA All-American. She was also named an NSCAA Scholar All-American. 

After college, she moved overseas to Zambia for six months, working with Push The Rock, a sports ministry organization located in rural Zambia. She helped develop a girls soccer program, equipping local coaches to teach/coach the game of soccer effectively, and hosting short term missions trips.  

Elzinga is the daughter of Vance and Julie Elzinga. She is from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin where she graduated from Lincoln High School.
