Duncan Nicol

Duncan Nicol is a former graduate and player for Union University. Nicol started on the men's soccer team for four years. During his time on the team he was named NCCAA All-Region and is tied, 3rd for most goals scored in a game. 

Nicol helped lead his team to their first ever NCCAA National Championship in 2003 and in 2004 helped lead his team to their first ever NAIA Region Tournament. In 2005, Nicol and the team had their best finish yet with a runner up in the NAIA Region Tournament which led to their highest ever, 2006 pre season ranking of number 9. 

Following graduation, Nicol completed his MBA and his MAED, also at Union University. He spent four years teaching marketing and professional writing, as well as coaching at a high school in Memphis, Tenn. Upon leaving his position as a high school teacher, Duncan went back to school full time and earned his Ph.D. in Marketing at the University of Mississippi. has also earned his bachelor and two master degrees from  Union and his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi.

Throughout his time in Memphis, Nicol also worked for the Collierville Lobos Rush Soccer Association as the head coach for teams ranging from 12 to 18 years old, most recently working with the U-19 and U-18 boys ppremier teams. In his 10 years of experience at carious levels, Nicol has coached two state of Tennessee club championships. He currently holds the NSCAA National Diploma license.

Currently, Nicol is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the McAfee School of Business at Union University and the assistant coach to Union's women's soccer team.

Nicol is a native of Vancouver, Canada and is married to Julie Nicol.
