Before Union
Pela prepped at the University School of Jackson where he played four years of soccer and ran track for two seasons. He also played 14 years of club soccer. In high school, Pela was named all-district three times, all-region once, and all-state once. Off the field, Pela was a member of the honor roll.

Born January 23...son of Augustus and Tarebiye Pela...majoring in journalism as he works to become a sports journalist.
