Before Union
Stedman prepped at Freed-Hardeman University where she played JV basketball for one year. She recorded a 25 point double-double in her first game, averaged 12.5 PPG, 5 RPG, and 41% 3FG. Stedman was named to the Dean's list and President's list while at Freed-Hardeman. During her time in high school, Stedman played two years of basketball with Nashville Central Christian Warriors and two years with Spring Hill High School. She also played two seasons of AAU basketball with the Tennessee Hurricanes. Stedman was awarded the MHAC All-Conference Player, NCHBC Gold Ball Championship, NCHBC All-Region honorable mention. She was also named to the SHHS All-Region, All-District, and 1000 point club. Stedman recorded 14.7 PPG, 6.7R RPG, 2.6 BPG, and 44% FG during this time. She helped led the team to a third place finish in the district and to a regional tournament appearance. Off the court, Stedman was a part of the Beta Nu honor society and was the secretary for that program.
