2025 (Senior)
  • Started all 50 games with a .255 batting average, 40 hits, two doubles, two triples, nine RBIs, 20 runs scored, seven walks, and four stolen bases

  • Started all 51 games, batting .293 with 39 hits, 29 runs scored, one double, 11 RBIs, six walks, three stolen bases, and a .333 OB%

Before Union
Thompson played two years of softball at Itawamba Community College before transferring to Union. She was a captain in 2022, which was her freshman season. The team was also ranked #1 in the nation in 2022. During her sophomore season, she was the starting second baseman, playing in 44 games and accumulating a .348 batting avg, .464 slugging percentage, 48 hits, 1 homerun, 20 RBIs, 36 runs scored, and 21 stolen bases.

Before college, Thompson prepped at Myrtle High School where she played six years of softball, two years of volleyball, and two years of basketball. She also did cheerleading for six years, track for three years, and bowling for four years. In 2021, she was part of Myrtle's first ever MHSAA Fastpitch Softball State Champion Class 1A team. She was 1st Team All-Division in 2018, All-State in track in 2018, 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Division in 2019, All-State in track in 2019, First Team All-Division in 2021, All-State for softball in 2021, 1A Mississippi Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, and 2021 1st Team All-Division Volleyball. She earned the Infield Defense Award in 2019, 2021 Captain Award, 2021 Senior Award, 2021 Coaches Award, 2021 Hawk Award, 2021 Defensive MVP in the All-Star Game, and 2021 Volleyball Setter Award. She had the most stolen bases (34) in 2019 and the most hits (39) and singles (34) in 2021.

Off the field, at Itawamba, Thompson was Phi Theta Kappa and What A Play Wednesday Host. At Myrtle High School, she was Class Vice President of 2021 Class, named to the Hall of Fame, 2021 Homecoming Queen, President of the Anchor Club, and MS Scholar Graduate.
