Before Union
Saffell prepped at Sheridan High School where she played four years of basketball, four years of volleyball, and ran track for one season. She also played seven years of AAU basketball. Saffell helped lead her team a DII Ohio Girls Basketball State runner-up finish as a sophomore. She was named third team all-state as a junior and senior, while also being named the MVP of the District 12 All-Star Game. Off the court, Saffell was named the Student-Athlete of the Year as a junior and earned OHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award as a senior.

Born May 17...daughter of Jennifer and Troy Saffell...majoring in business marketing to eventually work in medical sales.
