Before Union
West transferred to Union from Fort Hays State University where she played one season of basketball. She helped lead Forts Hays State to the conference regular season and tournament titles in 2022. She played in all 32 games at FHSU, averaging 7.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. She hit 46 threes, had 48 assists, and 27 steals. She was also named to the FHSU Dean's List. She started her college career at the University of Missouri Kansas City where she played two years. West helped lead UMKC to the WAC Title in 2020. West prepped at Millard North High School where she played four years of basketball. She led her team to the 2019 Class A girls state title. West was named the Lincoln Journal Star first team All-Super State, was second team All-USA Nebraska Girls Basketball selection by USA Today, three time all-state selections, several all-metro honors, and multiple academic all-state honors. In the state championship game of 2019, she scored 31 points with 13 rebounds. She also led her team to the state tournament as a junior. She averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds. two assists, 1.4 steals per game as a senior. She also shot 42 percent from behind the arc. Off the court, she was named to the Rotary Honor Roll.
