Miracle Gray was named the graduate assistant for the Union University women's basketball program in August 2020. She joined the staff after two years as a player for the women's team.Â
Gray graduated from Union in May 2020 with a bachelors degree in social work. While playing for Union, she helped lead the team to GSC regular season titles in 2019 and 2020, as well as, a GSC Tournament Title in 2020. She was named to the GSC Honor Roll.Â
Gray transferred to Union from Purdue University where she played two seasons of basketball. She played in 33-of-34 games as a sophomore, averaging eight minutes per game and scoring a career high five points versus St. Mary's. She played in 21 games as a freshman. Gray was awarded the Roger Blalock Memorial Outreach Award as a sophomore. Gray prepped at Stephenson High School where she was a four-year varsity letter winner. She was named all-region as a senior, averaging 17.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 2.5 assists per game. She is a member of the 1,000 point club, had her high school jersey retired, and was team captain for three seasons. She led her team to the Georgia 5A state title in 2015, scored 13 points in the championship game. Gray was an honorable mention for the 2015 Naismith Award. She was a four time all-county player and three times named all-region.
Gray is the daughter of Robert and Cherri Gray.Â
