McLennan prepped at Huntland High School where she played five years of basketball, four years of soccer, and one season of softball. She helped lead her basketball team to the district title in 2017. She was named MVP as a senior, four-time all-tournament, offensive player of the year twice, All-district once, and all-season twice. In soccer, she was named the district MVP and Goalie of the year four times. McLennan is a member of the 1,000-point club in basketball. She ranks second all-time in scoring at her high school, while holding the record for most saves in soccer at Huntland HS. Off the court and field, her academic accomplishments include honor roll, honors society, honors diploma, Hope Scholarship, and Templeton Laws of Life Essay Contest honorable mention. She was a member of the FFA, FCA, Beta Club, and National Honors Society.
