Before Union
Cross prepped at Trinity Christian Academy where she played five years of softball. She helped Trinity to state championships in 2009 and 2010. Cross was named to the all-district team in 2011 and 2012, All-West Tennessee second team in 2009, All-West Tennessee first team in 2012, and Sarah Beth Whitehead All-Tournament Team from 2009 through 2011. She received the Most Improved Award in 2009, Hussle Award in 2010, Defensive Award in 2011, and Lion Award in 2012. As a junior, Cross set the school record for stolen bases with 29 and was named to the district all-tournament team. As a senior, she was named to the all-state team and district all-tournament team. Off the field, Cross was National Honors Society president her senior year, named to the honor roll her freshman through junior year, and received the Discipleship Award her senior year. She is the daughter of Jeff and Bernadette Cross.
