Biography

Before Union
Cowan prepped at Fayette (Tenn.) Academy where she played softball for four seasons. She helped lead her team to a fourth place finish in the 2011 Tennessee DII-A State Tournament. She was named all-district three times, while also earning the Leadership Award three seasons. Cowan was selected to play in the 2012 All-Star Game where she earned the Most Outstanding Pitcher Award. She also had the honor of hitting the first out of the park home run on her high school's new softball field. She is the daughter of Roger and Donna Cowan.
