Before Union
Blackwell prepped at Clarksville High School where she played four years of softball. She helped lead her team to two district titles. Blackwell was named District MVP, All-State, Culver's Player of the Week, and Leaf Chronicle Player of the Year. She posted a 39-2 record as a junior and ended the year with 96 strikeouts as a sophomore. Off the field, Blackwell earned numerous memberships and awards in high school including, honor roll all four years, CMC Academic Award, Presidential Service Award, TN Scholar Award, National Honors Society, Student Council Representative, national Technical Honors Society, Robert Penn Warren Society, National English Honors Society, National Science Honors Society, and National Society of HS Scholars.
