Before Union
Johnson prepped at New Madrid Central High School where she played four years of softball and cheered for four years. She also played four years of softball for the Perryville Stars. While with the Stars, her team claimed one National Championship. In high school, Johnson was named all-district, all-region, scholar athlete, and academic all-state. She was also named Most Outstanding Pitcher at the USSSA National Championships. As a junior, Johnson posted 240 strikeouts, a 1.16 ERA, while also hitting .435. In 2019 with Perryville, she had a 0.70 ERA and a .444 batting average. Off the field, Johnson was the student council vice president, National Honors Society Treasurer, and was on the A honor roll all four years of high school.

Born January 9...daughter of Laura Kate and Graham Johnson...majoring in psychology as she works to become a sports psychologist.
