Biography

2016... hit .213 with 17 hits, one double, five RBI, 12 runs, 10-14 stolen bases. 2017...tied Union record with a 16-game hitting streak (first 16 games of season).

Before Union
Nelson transferred to Union from Waubonsee CC where she played two seasons of basketball and two seasons of softball. She was awarded numerous basketball awards along with first team all conference and first team all region in 2013 and 2014. ,Her softball team was conference champs in 2013 and 2014 and the NJCAA regional runner-up in 2014. ,Nelson was also named the Waubonsee Community College Female Athlete of the Year in 2014. ,She was also a part of the All-Academic team for softball in both 2013 and 2014.
