Shackelford prepped at Bartlett High School, where he led the basketball team to district, state, and sub-state championships in both 2022 and 2024. He was named first-team all regional tournament in 2024, first-team Sugar Bowl Classic in 2023, and the Hurricane Classic MVP in 2023.
Off the court, Shackelford served as the presidents of FBLA and FCA.
