Brunet continues is work as a strength and conditioning coach for our student-athletes. Brunet also spent seven seasons as an assistant softball coach at Union, including 2013 and 2014, from 2018-20, and again in 2022 and 2023. Â
Brunet is no stranger to Union. He joined the staff in 2004 as the Director of Wellness Services and served that position until 2012. He completed his Ed.D in Higher Education Administration in 2010 from Union University. In 2012, he became a member of the Union faculty as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management where he continues in that role.
In addition to his work at Union, Brunet spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as the softball head coach at Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson.Â
In 2008, Brunet was named the Union University Staff Member of the Year. In 2006, Brunet served one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Union baseball program.
Brunet received his masters degree in sport management from Wayne State University in 2003. He is a 2002 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University where he played baseball for three seasons. While at Wayne State, Brunet worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2002-03.
Brunet and his wife Marie live in Jackson with their four children, Maddox, Madelyn, Maverick, and Macklin.
