Before Union
Crews prepped at Independence (Tenn.) High School where she started all four seasons of softball. She was named all-district, all-district tournament and all-mid state as a senior. As a junior, she was an all-district and all-district tournament performer, while being named all-district and an all-mid state nominee as a sophomore. As a freshman, she earned all-county honors as a pitcher, posting a 1.43 ERA with 98 strike outs in 84 innings. She hit .450 as a senior, .471 as a junior, and .450 as a sophomore. Crews is the all-time home run leader at Independence High School and is second all-time in Williamson County on the single season home run list. Off the field, Crews excelled in honors classes, named a Top 25 Scholar, A-Honor Roll, Principal's List, NTSCA 2011 All-Academic Team, top 10 percent of the class, Statistics Class Award and Rehabilitative Therapies Award. She is the daughter of Craig and Jenny Crews.
